ES Sports Day 2015 was a wonderful occasion. It really was a celebration of all the different things that make our class what it is. For me, as their teacher, it was my last ever one at ISM and honestly the one I have most enjoyed!

The day began in the MS Gym with the opening ceremony. This included an appearance by that most elusive of creatures, the ISM Bearcat. If you look carefully in the second picture below you might spot him!

From there, our first events where in the Covered Area. I had lots of fun playing in some of the events 🙂

After a short interlude we went out into the ES Field for Sports Day part two. There was lots of fun and as you can see, the Sportsmanship spirit was alive and well in our group.

After lunch it was time for part three, the Swimming Pool! The Manta Rays organised themselves, supported each other and swam to the best that they could. Many children selflessly stepped in to cover events for others when needed. They were fantastic.

The final act was the closing ceremony in which Grade Four starred in a dance off style event. Our kids produced a very abstract and stylish performance that they had created themselves.

Well done to everybody who was involved directly or behind the scenes. It all just goes to show what is possible when we connect and collaborate together.
