Our focus on Place Value and Number Operations will shift imminently to Measurement so prior to doing so it would be good to take a look at some of the things that have been happening of late in the Invisible Tigers sphere of Numeracy.

Lets kick things off with another fun investigation that you can do at home with your very own Invisible Tiger.

If you put three beads onto a tens/units abacus you could make the numbers 3, 30, 12 or 21.

Explore the numbers you can make using six beads. You are invited to work on this at home and then we will look at what we have learned in class on Thursday 24th August. Once again this is not compulsory it’s just something you might enjoy!
