Friday April 30th marked International Day at ISM. It was a great way to launch the final grade 2 unit of the year “Celebrations” by celebrating and showcasing the international diversity amongst our community.

In many ways every day can be International Day at our school. Aswell as books and I.T based applications children in our class have been becoming more aware over the course of the year of each other as a fantastic learning resource and to draw upon each others rich and diverse experiences.

The vibrant mixture of styles and colours of the children's national outfits on international day vividly depicts the rich multinational tapestry of our class.

By coming together to collectively celebrate this diversity we are reminded that are all connected together through the school community as one. It is up to us all, children, teachers and parents to celebrate our wonderful international community!
