The Planetarium

DSC_0531-The children worked together to find answers to the mysteries of space.

On February 2nd, the Grade Two children blasted off to the Manila Planetarium in search for answers to their burning questions.  It was a wonderful experience to be able to sit back and watch the night sky explode with satellites, stars and planets.  Many of their wonderings were answered along the space journey and for many a deepening understanding of the solar system.  After the show, the children took time to explore the many interesting facts in the space museum.  They traveled through the history of space aeronautics, planet discoveries, constellations and innovations in order complete their scavenger hunt questions.  It was a great morning that reinforced the understanding questions set forth in this Unit of Inquiry.
